Repairs and maintenance

It is an unfortunate fact that most conservatories will at some point require some type of repair, or maintenance work.

The most common faults include:

  • Slipped roof panels
  • Discoloured roof panels
  • Missing or warped parts
  • Faulty and/or insufficient flashing or leadwork
  • Perished gaskets and seals
  • Blocked guttering
  • Leaky opening roof vents
  • Blocked valleys and box gutters
  • Lack of tie bar, or portal structure
  • Broken gutter brackets
  • Misted glass units

The major causes of faults are extreme weather, bad workmanship, poor design, or just general ageing. The majority of faults can be rectified quickly with little disruption.
