Repairs and maintenance
It is an unfortunate fact that most conservatories will at some point require some type of repair, or maintenance work.
The most common faults include:
- Slipped roof panels
- Discoloured roof panels
- Missing or warped parts
- Faulty and/or insufficient flashing or leadwork
- Perished gaskets and seals
- Blocked guttering
- Leaky opening roof vents
- Blocked valleys and box gutters
- Lack of tie bar, or portal structure
- Broken gutter brackets
- Misted glass units
The major causes of faults are extreme weather, bad workmanship, poor design, or just general ageing. The majority of faults can be rectified quickly with little disruption.
